The mush-O-sphere is designed to grow a wide range of mushrooms easily. It can be placed on a countertop or hung from anywhere, It’s ideal for urban environments that may have less space. The tetrahedron frame and the humidity tent allow you to dial in the optimal environment to get that mush popping ⚡️

The experience of growing mushrooms can be rewarding on many levels. I hope the mush-O-sphere will provide some fun & grow some tasty food, as well as helping to expand the knowledge and awareness of the fungi that coexist right under our feet 🍄 🖤

• 4 lb block of sterilized substrate, colonized with mycelium

• Tetrahedron frame ( constructed from Western Red Cedar → naturaly anti-fungal )

• Humidity tent with Velcro tabs for custom ventilation

• Hanging wire + hardware

🍄 EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO GET MUSHY WITH IT !!

• The kit is made up of simple materials with the intention that it can be re-used / the mycelium block and bag are compostable … When not in use, the frame and tent are easily collapsed down to a size that you can easily fit into a small drawer... and when ready - it can be quickly reassembled to start up another round of mushy-magic. If you enjoyed the process, you can order another mycelium block ( I’m continually testing new varieties so check back )

• The humidity tent is designed specifically to fit the size and shape of the frame, which helps the growing process to be more effortless and consistent. The velcro tabs allow the tent to be easily opened/closed for spraying, customized for airflow, or taken off/on the frame entirely.

• Hang the frame up - or grow them on your kitchen counter, etc. Wherever you live there's most likely space for a mush-O-sphere… and it looks good anywhere ⚡️

• On the nerdy side: The geometric tetrahedron shape of the frame utilizes a system called tensegrity. Basically, this means that the structure won’t deform as other shapes can, allowing it to be crazy strong relative to its weight. Tensegrity was utilized by many revolutionary thinkers, probably one of the most notable; Buckminster Fuller - however, tensegrity is a phenomenon that occurs in nature everywhere from plants to our skin cells.

You’ll probably be surprised just how fun and easy it is!

Basically, you just spray the mycelium block enough to keep a nice humid environment. In many ways, it’s even easier than a house-plant, since it’s difficult to over-water and it doesn’t have crucial light requirements. Some varieties are ready to harvest in around 1 week!

Shipping is $15 anywhere in the U.S. / $10 for a mycelium block without the rest of the kit.
